AC1 – Air-Conditioning

This 1-day course is designed to cover the aspects of air-conditioning systems including:

  • Legislation Regarding F-Gas
  • The Greenhouse effect
  • Environmental issues regarding F-Gas
  • The principles of refrigeration
  • A/C System - Construction and Function
  • Safety precautions and procedures
  • Handling of Refrigerant
  • Procedures for recovery of refrigerant
  • Additional Service preparation and precautions

Practical demonstrations for refrigerant recovery, recycling, recharging and operation is included.

The assessment for the Level 3 Refrigerant Handlers qualification (EC 842-2006) (QCA I.D No: 500/6771/0) will include the handling of refrigerant to and from a vehicle system along with an on-line test.
